Eric Stupnitsky

Eric S

Eric Stupnitsky is a second year marketing major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He intends to graduate in the spring of 2012. Before coming to UW-Madison, Mr. Stupnitsky graduated from Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, IL, a suburb on the northwest side of Chicago. In high school, Eric was involved in multiple different clubs and organizations, including the tennis team for three years. He was involved in student government his senior year, where he worked with faculty, students and staff to help plan multiple assemblies, dances and fundraisers for the entire school. Also, Mr. Stupnitsky was a member of the yearbook staff for three years, eventually becoming the Business Editor his senior year. Through this, Eric realized he was passionate about a career in business.

Since his freshman year at the UW-Madison, Eric has kept himself busy both in school, extracurriculars and social activities. While school always comes first, he believes that he has found a good balance, thanks to his determined work ethic and time management skills. Aside from Delta Sigma Pi, Eric is a member of Mu Kappa Tau, a marketing club on campus. As a member of the Consulting Committee, Eric has worked with local businesses to help market their brands, resulting in a terrific learning experience. His hard work and determination paid off in the summer of 2009, when Mr. Stupnitsky learned of his acceptance to the Wisconsin School of Business, an exciting feat that still makes him very proud.

Throughout the years, he has held several part-time jobs and internships. Most recently, however, Eric had the opportunity to intern at Next Realty, LLC this past summer. Working in the marketing department, Mr. Stupnitsky learned several vital skills that he will find useful in the

future. Aside from learning how various helpful computer programs work, he was able to learn a lot about the marketing and business worlds through company meetings and individual assignments. Also, Eric loves animals, and takes the time to volunteer at Orphans of the Storm, a local animal shelter in his area. Though he only has the chance to do so while he is at home over breaks, it is still a very rewarding experience knowing that he is making a difference in the community.

Eric has been involved with the Beta Epsilon Mu colony of Delta Sigma Pi since the very beginning. Without Delta Sigma Pi, his college experience would have been very different. The fraternity has given Mr. Stupnitsky the opportunity to gain leadership experience, as well as a greater understanding of what it is like to be part of a group striving for the same goal. Last semester, he was in charge of marketing and recruitment. This semester, Mr. Stupnitsky is the Petition Chair. This petition has taken a significant amount of time and effort, but Eric is amazed at the growth of the Beta Epsilon Mu colony. He takes great pride in seeing just how much our small colony of eight members to over sixty today. This has truly been a rewarding experience for Mr. Stupnitsky, and he cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Psi Chapter.
