Belle Lin
Belle Lin is a first-year intended marketing major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison who expects to graduate in spring of 2013. Originally from Shoreview, Minnesota, Ms. Lin was an active participant on her high school’s speech team, tennis team, and National Honor Society. She was also the News Editor of her high school newspaper, the President of Diversity Council, and a frequent soloist in band and orchestra where she played clarinet.
At UW-Madison, Ms. Lin is a news reporter for the Badger Herald and a member of the Entrepreneurial Residential Learning Community, a group of students with entrepreneurial mindsets interested in bringing their ideas to life. In the past, Ms. Lin has worked as a member of an editorial board for an online periodical. She also volunteered as a youth leader in her hometown’s after-school program, helping provide a safe environment for children to develop educational skills.
When not getting to know her Delta Sigma Pi brothers, Ms. Lin enjoys reading good books, playing tennis, acrylic painting, playing piano, and listening to the rain. She joined Delta Sigma Pi to network, meet new people, and become part of an organization of reputation. She has found that being part of the Beta Mu Epsilon colony has enhanced her college experience, helped her meet new friends and develop essential communication skills.
In the future, Ms. Lin hopes to work in marketing management and possibly study abroad in China. She is interested in expanding her understanding of the business profession and working with people of all different backgrounds- enriching her personal growth in the process.
